She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel "Dee" and Rose Anna Jones (Pike County) of Virgie; her husband Carl Mack Shafer; and her siblings, Marie McMillan, Maudie Hughes, Cecil Jones and Clennon D. Jones.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Bethel Jones; her children, Samuel Stewart (Trudy), Sandra Thornburg (Tommy) and Rosalee Stewart (George); her grandchildren, John Thornburg (Missy) and Lisa Harrold (David); and her great grandchildren, Tyler of Huntington, Zachary Thornburg of Huntington, Joshua of Huntington, Justin of Huntington and Jonah Harrold of Huntington.
Masks and social distancing mandates will be observed.
