With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jackie D. Hampton of Prichard, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 26, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gid Hampton and Juanita Stewart; his daughter Jodi Dee Baisden; and his granddaughter Cassandra Shea Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Linda Michael Hampton of Prichard; his children, Angela Hampton of Prichard, Mary Beth Porter (Jerry) of Prichard and Darrell Hampton (Amanda) of Prichard; his sister Carolyn Slater (Dave) of Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Jamie Waller (Ashley), Wesley Waller (Marlena), Trey Daniel, Shaina Daniel, Emma Daniel, Kyle Hampton (Sam), Jackie Callicoat, Anna Brewer (Charlie Marcum), Abby Newby, Chase Hampton, Lanie Hampton and Luke Hampton. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; and several additional family and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hampton Family Cemetery.
