He is survived by: his siblings, Ida Blake, Joyce Blake, Linda Carter, Lyda Yates, Creasey Mays, Roy Carter, Paul Carter and Muss Carter; his son Homer L. Carter (Stacey Spence) of Prichard; and his brothers, Calvin Carter of Wayne and Zeri Carter of Wayne. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
