He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Damron and Peggy Ray Damron; his wife Mary Catherine Damron; his children, Brenda Kay Napier and Randy Lee Damron; his grandson Mathew Ray Napier; and his daughter-in-law Gaila Damron.
He is survived by: his sons, Willis Ray Damron of Prichard, Thelmer Damron of Prichard and Elmer Damron (Brenda) of Kenova, WV; his brother Tommy Damron of Lavalette, WV; his son-in-law Bob Napier of Prichard; his grandchildren, Amanda Robertson (Matt), Heather Adkins, Chantelle Miller (Josh), Thelmer, II Damron (Kristen), Justin Pierce and Sherry Hall (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Faith Robertson, Cazzie Robertson, Addisyn Miller, Kilynn Damron, Clayton Blaine Damron, Cole Pierce, Cammie Hall and Lynzie Napier.
