He is survived by: his parent Hazel Thompson McKown; his wife Betty Lynn McKown (Maynor); his daughter Kelly McKown-Smallwood (Anthony) of Harrisonburg, VA; his grandchildren, Drew Allen McKown, Corinne, Alice and Miriam Smallwood; and his siblings, Shirley Welch, Wilma McKown of Powellton, WV, Janet Coleman of Mt, Marge Morrison of Chattanooga, TN, Jean Blake (Roger) of London, WV and Randall McKown (Margie) of Indian Trail, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
