He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hartwell and Georgia Eades Hartwell; and his grandson Clark "Jake" Hartwell. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Comer Hartwell; his daughter Kimberly Hartwell of Powellton; his granddaughter Heather Pettry of Powellton; and his great grandchildren, Alex, Landon, Elijah and Serenity.
