With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Otho Mattox of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, born in Middleport, Ohio, who passed away on March 19, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. Mattox and Edna V. Mattox; his wife Elizabeth M. Mattox; and his siblings, Leonard Mattox of Nitro, WV, Lawrence Mattox of Smyrna, GA and Bessie Mattox Wilson of Point Pleasant.
He is survived by: his children, Karla Dawn Donovan (Kevin Donovan) of Wilmington, NC and Brent Scott Mattox of Point Pleasant; his grandchildren, Ryan Patrick Donovan of Jersey City, NJ, Connor Matthew Donovan of Chapel Hill, NC, Sean Michael Donovan of New York, NY, Gavin Scott Mattox of Point Pleasant and Aaron Michael Mattox of College Station, TX.; and his sisters-in-law, Geneth G. Krebs of Point Pleasant and Sharon Sue McGraw (John McGraw) of Point Pleasant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
