She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wheeler and Mary Wheeler; her brother James Wheeler, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Howard and Mae Patterson.
She is survived by: her husband Howard E Patterson, Sr.; her daughter Jamie (Britt Stoner); her grandchildren, MacKenzie, Jack, Brooklyn and Zander; her great grandchild Jude Stoner; her son Howard E Patterson, Jr.; her grandchildren, Cody and Haleigh; her great grandchild Lainey Patterson; and her siblings, Vicki Counts of Auburn and Ronie Wheeler (Linda) of Point Pleasant, WV.
The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington in Velma's name as a token of appreciation that could never be expressed in words for their dedication to her care and to the support given to our family by Jennifer and Christy.
