He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hively and Helen Hively (Burns); his son Michael Joe "Joey" Hively; and his sisters, Debbie Kay Holmes, Millie Withrow and Lucille Hively.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Hively (Schwartz) of Point Pleasant; his son Ronald "Ron" Hively (Koah) of Point Pleasant; his stepchildren, Little Ronnie Hunter (Nikki) of Point Pleasant, Eddie Hunter (Kayla Deweese) of Point Pleasant, Lloyd Smith of Point Pleasant, Bridget Hunter of Point Pleasant and Brianna Buffington of Jackson, OH.; and his siblings, Clarence "Bub" Hively (Pam) of Fraziers Bottom, WV, Roy Hively (Annette) of St. Albans, WV, Glen Hively (Tammy) of Leon, Ron Byus (Connie) of Point Pleasant, Helen Hall (Roscoe) of Point Pleasant, Lina Milam (Dennis) of Point Pleasant and Sylvia Goodwin (Bob) of Nitro, WV. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren.
