She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward Simpkins and Iva Mae Litchfield Simpkins; her daughter Linda Christine Matheny; her son-in-law Samuel Beckner; and her siblings, Faye Henry (Ira), Beulah Nibert (Jim), Chester Simpkins (Betty), Melvin Simpkins (Gertrude), Wilbur Simpkins (Ruth) and Okey Simpkins.
She is survived by: her husband Homer McClellen Matheny; her children, Loretta Sims (Rick), Freda Beckner and Donald Matheny (Becky); her grandchildren, Scott Smith (Brandi), Taleah Taylor (John), Mandy Siders, Brittany Leach (Jerad), Donald Matheny, Jr., RJ Neal (Raechel) and Andrea Sims (Travis Rodgers); her great grandchildren, Jordan, Kyleigh Taylor, Savannah, Sydney Siders, Kaden Fields, Kyler Smith, Brycen Leach, Trey Sims and Talyn Rodgers; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Simpkins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home (1701 Jefferson Blvd, Point Pleasant, WV 25550). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
