It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Ann (Point Pleasant, West Virginia), who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cottrill and Vada Cottrill (Greenlee); her former husband David James; and her children, Dwight James (Trena) of Ravenswood and Rachel Searls (Josh) of Southside.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Peoples; her sisters, Sue Enos and Judy Rymer; her grandchildren, Joel, Caleb Searls, Jeremiah James (Emily) and Breanne James McGrew (Joe); and her sister Patricia Durst.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Deal Funeral Home (1401 Kanawha St, Point Pleasant, WV 25550). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
