She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Eugene Arter Sr. and Lois June Arter (Rinehart); her grandson David Alan Meeks; and her brothers, Michael, Brian and Rich Arter.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald G. Birr of Point Pleasant; her children, Tesa J. Gibson (Adam Loomis) of Matthews, NC and Roger Dean Jr. Gibson (Becky) of Gallipolis Ferry; her stepsons, Randy Birr of Elkhart, IN and Gregory Birr (Dawn) of Nappanee, IN; her siblings, Sandy Kraus (Chris) of Elkhart, IN, Terry Arter (Maxine) of Sebring, FL and Tim Arter (Jenny) of Georgia; and her pet Chico. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
