She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Peoples (Bob) and Georgeanna Peoples of Point Pleasant, WV.; her husband William R. Lewis, Sr.; and her siblings, Judith Young, Roberta Sprouse (Becky) and Robert E. Peoples, Jr. (Bobby).

She is survived by: her children, William R. Lewis, Jr. of Point Pleasant, Brenda Saunders (Keith) of Bidwell, OH and Jenny A. Lewis of Spencer, WV; her grandsons, Joshua W. Lewis of Middleport, OH and Nathan A. Lewis (Drew) of Spencer, WV; her sister Marianne Siders of Lake Wales, FL.; and also Ruth Thompson of Mason, WV..

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions in Barbara's memory be made to an animal charity, or the Dementia Society of America.
