He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Lee Holloway; his parents, Bill Holloway and Eva Mae Holloway; his granddaughter Angie Casto; and his brothers, Paul David Holloway and Jimmy Renwick.
He is survived by: his children, Joanna Holloway Plumley, Joseph L. Holloway, Jr., Jonathan L. Holloway, Mary Carney, Jimmy Spencer and Lannetta Pate; and his siblings, Carolyn Sue O'Neal, Connie Green, John Holloway, Julia Wood, Joyce Messmore, Beachie Cooper, Nancy King and Ricky Renwick. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Wounded Veterans or a charity of choice.
