She was predeceased by: her husband Richard D. Smith; her parents, Floyd Murphy and Della Murphy; and her brothers, James, Harold Eugene and Lawrence Murphy.

She is survived by: her children, Miranda Jean Rhodes, Lora Shank (Mike), Donna Smith and Deward Allen Jarrell Sr.; and her grandchildren, Kimmie Garten, Amber Kroeber, Deward Allen Jarrell Jr., Taylor Shank, Kaleigh Garcelon, Brian Allen and Brandy Allen. She is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren and Rusty, her faithful fur companion.
