He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Thompson and Lydie Noble Thompson; and his brother Marshal Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Ruby L. Sampson Thompson; his children, Charles C. Thompson, Jr. of Pipestem, David A. Thompson (Misty) of Harrisonburg, PA and Wendy Bessette (Matthew) of Reno, NV; his sisters, Dorothy Mae Ward of Pipestem and Jewel Martin of Pipestem; and his grandchildren, Megan, Christopher and Skyler Thompson. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
