It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Knight-Ballard of Pipestem, West Virginia, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on May 15, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carroll Melvin and Cynthia Rebecca Willis Chapman; her former husband William "Billy" Knight; her husband Homer Ballard; her sons, Robert "Bobby" Knight and Stephen "Stevie" Knight; and her grandson Samuel Knight.

She is survived by: her children, Ellen Pack (Larry) of Pipestem, Melvin Knight of Princeton and Ronnie Knight (Michelle) of Ohio; and her siblings, Teddy Lange (Steve) of Phoenix, AZ and Gary Chapman (Sunny) of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
