It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vivian Gonzalez of Piney View, West Virginia, born in Abraham, West Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McDaniel and Etta Williams McDaniel; her husbands, Bill Bonner and Camilo Gonzalez; her stepson Michael Gonzalez (Sally); and her siblings, Edith Adkins, Amick McDaniel, John McDaniel, Freda Smith, Jerome McDaniel, Virginia McDaniel, Paul McDaniel and Lillian Smith.
She is survived by: her stepson Andy Gonzalez (Janie) of Woodstock, VA; her nephew William Welch (late Doris Welch) of Piney View; her great-nephew Aaron Welch (Jessica) of Oceana; her niece Geneva Tarbet (Chuck) of South Carolina; her close friend Martha Goble (Jim) of Piney View; and also, Ayriannah Stewart, Avery Stewart and Lee Welch. She is also survived by several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and step great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed as mandated by the Governor of the State of WV.
