It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlis Cook of Pineville, West Virginia, born in Wyoming, West Virginia, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Otto and Flora Jane Pendry Cook; his wife Ethel Irene Stanley Cook; his son Arlis Dewayne Cook (Suzanne); and his daughter-in-law Debbie Cook (Brooks).
He is survived by: his children, James Cook (Roberta) of Augusta Ga, Renva Toler (Kermit) of Beckley, WV and Nelson Cook (Kathy) of Eccles, WV; his grandchildren, Corinna Thielke, Matt Stover, Heather Lucas, Andria Hamilton, Melissa Wright, James Thornton Cook and Amanda Marsh; his nephew Cylde Patrick (Scott Moore); and his close friends, Sue and Will Peterson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
