It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mavis Goontz (Pine Grove, West Virginia), who passed away on April 8, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Ray and Esta Beatrice Mayfield (Kendall); her significant other James Goontz; and her siblings, Arman Mayfield, Jean Wyatt and Esther Mayfield.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Goontz (Tina) of Parkersburg, WV and Debbie Lane (Jon) of Reno, OH; her siblings, Merlin Mayfield of Newton Falls, OH, Don Mayfield, Edwin Mayfield (Loretta) of Clarksburg, WV, Vesta Weaver of Harrisonburg, VA, Virgia Titus of Colliers, WV, Margaret Schroeder (Jim) of Surprise, AZ, Carol Fordyce (Gareald) of Pine Grove, WV and Sharon Bragg of Knob Fork, WV; and her grandson Nathaniel McDougle (Caitlin) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
