He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Miller; his daughters, Cathy Harless (Tom) and Kim Miller; his brother Odus Miller; his granddaughter Brianna Harless; and his nephew Robert "Hoogie" Miller (Connie). He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He also had been battling the effects of Alzheimer's but never forgot his family.
