He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Larry Lupis and Ardath C. Lupis (Stevens); his brother Joseph P. Lupis; and his brother-in-law Freddy McNemar. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Lupis (McNemar); his son Mitchell F. Lupis (Becky) of Westernport; his grandsons, Billy Lupis and Zack Lupis; his sister Catherine Lester of Wilmington, DE; and his brother-in-law Bob McNemar (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
