He is survived by: his sons, Robert Williams Cooper of Winchester, VA and Richard Cooper of Falls Church, VA; his stepdaughters, Deborah Preston of Piedmont, WV and Dawn Cox Goodman of Winchester, VA; and his sister Johanna Cromer of Washington, DC..
