She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Thomas and Margaret Hayes Thomas; her son Tony Burns; her brother Stephen Thomas; and her sisters-in-law, Willie Ratliff, Lanelle Vandegrift, Barbara Weikle and Betty Bradley.
She is survived by: her husband John W. Burns of Pickaway; her children, Tommy Burns (Helen) of Pickaway and Andi Hedrick (Justin) of Frankford, WV; her grandchildren, April, Angela, Amanda, Mandy, Eric and Sawyer; her siblings, Wayne Thomas of Norfolk, VA, Barry Thomas (Judy) of Plain City, OH, Ben Thomas (Sharon) of Plain City, OH, Dan Thomas (Dee) of Greenville, OH, Timmy Thomas (Sherry), Billy Thomas (Marcia) of Malta, OH and Theresa Gale of Plain City, OH; her daughter-in-law Donna Burns of Pickaway, WV; and her sisters-in-law, Sue Davis of Hollywood, WV and Lenora Wilson of Pickaway, WV. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sherry's memory to the Mt. Pleasant Community Church in Sinks Grove, WV.
