Willis Murl Wells Sr. Obituary
Wills Murl Wells Sr., age 72, a resident of Philippi WV., passed away from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the J.W., Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. He had been in failing health.
He was born on July 22, 1950, in Fairmont WV., a son to the late Chester L. Wells Sr., and Minnie Lou (Cain) Wells.
Wills leaves behind his children; Rachel Wells, Andy Wells, Amanda Adams and husband Steven Adams, and Willis Murl Wells Jr.; seven grandchildren; one sister; Betty Stevens; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers; Chester L. Wells Jr., Robert Wells, and Raymond Wells; a sister; Alice Wells.
Wills was a construction worker. He previously worked for Mark Smythe taking care of and remolding mobile homes. He loved to collect old coins, playing video games, and talking to people. Willis will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave. Philippi, WV., on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3 pm until 7pm and again on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 8 am until noon. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at noon, with the Rev. Dave "Cowboy" Brown officiating and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery near Philippi. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
