William C. Williams Obituary

William C. "Bill" Williams, age 56, a resident of Main Street, Philippi, WV, passed peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022, surrounded by his family, in the United Hospital Center, in Bridgeport, WV., following a brief illness. He was born into this life on February 2, 1966, in Philippi, WV., a son to the late Joseph Williams and Mary (Daff) Williams. Bill is survived by step- children; Cory Williams, of Philippi and Tammy Gibson, and husband Scott, of Bridgeport; two brothers; James H. Williams, of Newburg and Robert L. Williams, of Buckhannon; a sister, Vickie Sharp, of Grafton; nephews, Joseph Sharp, Donald Sharp, and wife, Nicole, and David "D.J.". Braddock; his dearest friend and caretaker, Jim Rowan, of Philippi. He was preceded in death by, fiancé Dortha Curry and his infant niece, Dorthey Sharp. Mr. Williams attended the schools of Taylor and Preston Counties. He was a man of many talents, including mechanic work, and artwork which was enjoyed by many. Above here in his obituary is a sample of his art. Bill loved to fish, hunt, shoot guns, sight-seeing, and he could pretty much fix anything that was broken. He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. Bill's wishes for cremation will be honored. A Celebration of Mr. Williams life will be held at the Philippi Baptist Church and will be announced at later date.
