We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2025, at the age of 72, Virginia Kay Hawkinberry of Philippi, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Lucille and Vincent "Duck" Mayle; and her husband James Howard "Jim" Hawkinberry Sr.. She is survived by: her children, James Howard "Pooh" Hawkinberry Jr. and Angela Denise "Nean" Thompson (Dorsey); her grandchildren, Alex M. Thompson, Andrew L. Thompson, Georgia S. Hawkinberry and C. Parker Hawkinberry; and her siblings, Nancy K. "Dudy" McCloud (Mick), Carl V. "Tar" Mayle, James A. "Jimmy" Mayle, Edith M. "Edie" Mayle (Wally) and Timothy "Mark" Mayle. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home (950 George Washington Hwy, Grafton, WV 26354). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
