She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Poe and Hazel Poe; her sister Pauline Moats; and her son-in-law Robert Lipinski. She is survived by: her spouse Russell Clifford Humphreys; her children, Angela Lipinski of Hurricane, WV and Russell Kurt Humphreys (Robin) of Philippi, WV; and her siblings, Paul Mitchell, Wilma Keene (Bernard), Rhoda Johns, Wanetta Johns, Dottie Everson (Gary), Rita Kennedy and Betty Poe.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Animal Friends of Barbour County, a group which Sylvia cared for deeply.
