Rocky Allen Davis Obituary
Rocky A. Davis, age 61, a resident of Philippi, WV., passed away from this life on Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at his home with his family by his side following an extended illness.
He was born into this life on March 22, 1961, in Rock Island, IL., a son of Donald Nestor and the late Barbara (Hanson) Benz.
On May 5, 1990, he was untied in marriage to his best friend, caregiver, and the love of his life the former Valli Jones, who survives at their home near Philippi.
Rocky leaves behind his two children; Jarrett Lantz of Moss Point, MS., and Leanna Lantz-Reyes and husband Alem Reyes of Chicago, IL.; one brother, Richard Davis, and wife Jeanette Davis of Bridgeport; four sisters, Shirl Drago and husband Ed of Illinois, Lori Davis, and Cassie Davis; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends; his K9 companions; Blue and Speedy.
Mr. Davis was Christian by faith. He and his wife owned and operated Rocky Valli Auto Repair. Rocky worked at various auto repair shops throughout the area. People would come from miles around to let Rocky look under their hoods. He was a simple man that loved to draw and enjoyed listening to Old Time Rock and Roll. Even though he had been sick, he still liked to work out in his garage. Rocky will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Davis request for cremation will be honored. A celebration of his life will be announced as soon as they become available. The Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting Rocky's family with the arrangements.
