Raymond R. Biggs Obituary
Raymond R. "Pete" Biggs, age 60, a resident of Philippi, WV., passed away peacefully on Saturday February 11, 2023, in United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV, with his family by his side following an extended illness.
He was born into this life on November 25, 1962, in Philippi., a son to the late Ralph Biggs and Minerava Gertrude (Wolfe) Biggs.
On October 7, 1989, he was united in marriage to the former Helen F. Canfield, who survives at their home.
Raymond leaves behind his daughter; Chastity Bolyard and husband Chris; grandchildren; Johnathan Biggs, Alison Jade Biggs, Leann Marie Bolyard, and is expecting a fourth grandchild soon; brother; Ralph Biggs and wife Ruth; sisters; Georgia Shahan and husband Charles, and Pam Boring; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him death are brothers; Floyd Henry Menear, Freddie Adams, Charlie Pugh, and Samuel Biggs; sisters; Dessie Robinson, Carol Hymes, and Edith McGee.
Mr. Biggs attended the schools of Barbour County, was a Pentecostal by faith. He worked for McClean's Plumbing and Heating for several years as a plumber. Pete enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Pete is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home on Wednesday February 15, 2023, from 9 am until 2 pm. A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 2 pm with the Rev. David "Cowboy" Brown officiating. Pete's request for cremation will then be honored. The Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
