It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Thorne of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Delano and Juanita Mae McDonald Thorne; his wife Mary Thorn; and his sister Brenda Kay Carr. He is survived by: his siblings, David Alan Thorn of Belington, Patricia Mae Cutlip of Petersburg and Evelyn Sue Johns (Cory) of Arkansas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
