It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Oglivia Chisolm of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Eckman, West Virginia, who passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Daniel and Ethel Mae Canty (Johnson); and her grandchildren, James Canty, Jr. and La'Mai Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, James D. Canty, Angela Hatcher (Timothy) and Sherry Radcliffe of Fairmont; and her siblings, Claudette McDonald, Brenda Canty, Victor Canty, Alma Walker and Gregory Canty. She is also survived by Nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
