With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jeanne Mercer of Philippi, West Virginia, who passed away on December 28, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wershing and Rachel Wershing (Shutts); her daughter Patti Holt; and her siblings, Charles Wershing and Patricia Bordner Jeanne.
She is survived by: her husband Carl; her sons, John Mercer (Rose) and Dick Mercer (Janet) of Chesapeake, VA; her son-in-law Michael Holt of Philippi Six; and her grandchildren, Delores Bonnell, Chris Mercer, Eric Mercer, Rachel Pizano, Danny Holt and Lauren Mercer. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
