Margaret A. "Susie, Maggie" (Knotts) Snyder, age 66, a resident of Elk Creek near Philippi, West Virginia departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at her home with her husband by her side. She had been declining health; however her departure was unexpected. Susie was a beloved wife, mother, and sister.
She was born on November 11, 1957, in Grafton, WV. A daughter to the late Russell Knotts and Margaret (Case) Knotts.
Susie was married twice first to Johnny Reed who preceded her in death in 2003. Her second marriage was on December 26, 2004, to George "Bimbo" Snyder who survives at their home.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Stacey Gossett of Canton, OH; one brother, Kenny Knotts, and wife Linda of Texas Mountain near Parsons.
Preceding her death besides her parents, and first husband, was a sister, Linda Knotts.
Susie attended Tucker County School and graduated from Tucker County High School. She was a Nurse's Aide and worked for many years for Hospice where she retired in 2019. Susie loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting. Her first deer she harvested was an 8 point buck. She was very dedicated to her job, and she loved the clients she cared for. Susie will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1pm until 3pm at the Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi. In honoring Susie's wishes her remains will be cremated.
