Lucy Ann Grim Obituary
Lucy Ann Grim, age 35, a resident of Philippi, WV, departed from this life on Monday, June 24, 2024, in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a brief illness.
She was born on May 11, 1989, a daughter to Charles Beam and the late Mary Marie Grim.
Lucy leaves behind her fiancé George Micheal Browning who has been there through thick and thin for the past ten years who survives at their home.
She leaves behind a daughter; Kirstin Browning, bonus children; Joseph Browning, Matthew Browning, Joshua Allen Browning, and Faith Carol Marie Browning, brothers; Daniel McCord Jr., Connor Phillips, Nicholas Kesling, Justin Beam, Anthony Beam, Grayson Chandler, Issac McClure, and Robbie Wade, sisters; Kelsey Brenwalt, Joanna Beam, Angelina Beam, and Kendra Fletcher, maternal grandmother; Farren Fae Grim, uncle; Charles Grim Jr., many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death besides her mother was Daniel Roscoe McCord, and her maternal grandfather, Charles Grim Sr.
Lucy was a Christian by faith, she attended the schools of Barbour County. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes and purses. Also, she loved listen to music mostly from her favorite music artists Pink and Metallica and some country music. Lucy enjoyed gardening just recently started a fairy garden. Before she became ill, she worked for Hometown Care in Belington taking care of the elderly. Lucy donated her organs to help people live or to enhance their lives through the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (C.O.R.E.). As we gather to mourn the loss of Lucy, let us also recognize the beauty she brought to this world and the imprint of her kindness etched in every life she touched. May her spirit find peace in the heavens above, forever a guardian to those who held her dear.
Family and friends may gather from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave. Philippi. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Ezik S. Norris as the celebrant. According to Lucy's wishes her remains will be cremated and interment of her cremains will follow in the Jerusalem Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family has requested monetary donations be made to the Kittle Family Funeral to offset the cost of Lucy's funeral expenses. The Kittle Family Funeral Home of Philippi is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
