Lora Golden Obituary
Lora Diane Golden, age 64, a resident of Philippi, West Virginia and a former resident of Georgia departed this life on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her home in Philippi. She had been in her usual health and her death was unexpected. Lora was a beloved, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She was born on January 3, 1960, in Raleigh, North Carolina. A daughter to the late John Thomas Carroll II and Eloise (Hayes) Carroll. Lora's departure from this world leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Lora is survived by her beloved daughters, Koren Michelle Thurston, Victoria Maxwell and spouse Philp, and Lora Angelica Golden, and spouse James; grandchildren, Kaleb Jones, and Kaylana Mowery; sisters, Kim Carroll, Leca Cox, and spouse Jerry, Sherry Bass, and spouse Ronnie, Melissa Carroll; brothers, John Thomas Carroll III, and spouse Martha, and Dean Carroll; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her death besides her parents was a sister, Cindy Moore.
Lora loved the outdoors, watching birds, deer, cross stitching, woodworking, sewing, she made her kids clothes while they were in school and enjoyed making quilts. She is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
According to Lora's wishes her remains will be cremated.
