It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Serafin of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Bayard, West Virginia, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Serafin and Mary Augustine Serafin. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Bachtel; his daughters, Juliana Serafin (Albert Liu) of Charleston, WV and Priscilla Serafin (Timothy R. Young) of Rowley, MA.; his grandchildren, Rebecca S. Young, Ethan B. Young, Isaac J. Liu and Elena G. Liu; and his siblings, Virginia Grapes, Jennie Guthrie, Helen Kovak, Chris "Dosty" Serafin, Pete Serafin and John Serafin.
