John Luther Loyd Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Luther Loyd of Philippi, West Virginia, born in Sutton, West Virginia, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, B. Frank Loyd and Ruth Loyd; his siblings, Martha Ellen Loyd and Jake Burton Loyd; and his siblings-in-law, Ethel Loyd and Tom Kelsey.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ray McWhorter Loyd; his children, David Michael (Kelley), Lisa Ann (Ronnie Helmondollar), Bruce McWhorter (Kaye) and Paul Franklin (Carla); his grandchildren, Diane Catherine Snyder (Daniel), John David Loyd (Hilary), Benjamin Jared Loyd, Kara Elizabeth Loyd, Anna Marie Loyd, Matthew Ray Helmondollar and James Luther Helmondollar; his great grandchildren, Luke Loyd Snyder, Paul Richard Snyder, Miriam Catherine Snyder and Freya Jane Loyd; and his sisters, Rachel Kelsey, Jean Johnson (Bill) and Nellie Griffin (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the Governor's Mandate face masks and social distancing will be required for everyone attending the services.
