Erika Nicole Kelley Obituary
Erika Nicole Kelley age 23, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia departed from this life on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in a heartbreaking Motorcycle Accident near Montrose, West Virginia, leaving behind a family and community in profound sorrow. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, and friend.
She was born on September 19, 2000, in the Saint Joesph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV. A daughter to Edgar "D.J." Kelley and Linda Lu (Langley) Kelley who survive in Elkins.
Erika is survived by her beloved daughter, Aurora Belle Edmond; brothers, Andrew Kelley of Martinsburg, and Adam Kelley of Elkins; sister, Alicia Kelley; maternal grandmother, Trinia Kisner; God parents, Brenda Ice and Joey Kittle. Also surviving are several cousins and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dale E. Kelley and Loretta Belle "Bubbles" Gibson and maternal grandfather, Gary Kisner.
Erika was a Christian by faith she attended Saint Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins. She graduated from Elkins High School with the class of 2019, she attended Potomac State College. Known for her vibrant spirit and warm personality, Erika worked as a Licensed Insurance Agent at Tranzact Insurance Co. where she touched the lives of many with her dedication and kindness. Erika excelled in her career and brought a smile to everyone she encountered. Even though her life was very short Erika made many friends in her journey of life and never treated any of them badly. She loved spending time with her family and friends, loved to watch wrestling with her dad, listening to music and going to concerts. In this time of grief, we remember Erika for her warmth, strength, and compassion that touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Saint Brendan Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Father James E. O'Connor will be the Celebrant and interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. Family and friends may gather at the Church one hour prior to the Mass. A celebration of Erika's life dinner will be held after the service in the back of the Elkins VFW. The Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Avenue, Philippi is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
