Ellen Grace Reel Obituary
Ellen Grace (Kittle) Reel, age 70, a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center, formally a resident of the Dogtown Road in Belington, WV, passed away May 1, 2020. With her soulmate of 48 years, Denver Delauder by her side while holding her hand.
On January 16, 1950, near Belington she was born to the late Artie Wilbert "Wib" Kittle and Winnie Katie (Poling) Kittle.
Ellen leaves behind her companion, Denver Delauder; her daughter, Tara Dawn Reel; grandchildren and great- grandchildren; brothers, Thomas P. "Tom" Kittle, H. Larry Kittle, and wife Janet Kittle, David S. Kittle, and wife Vickie Kittle; a sister-in-law, Patty Kittle; several nieces, nephews, and friends who thought of Ellen as a second mother.
Preceding her death besides her parents was a son, John Michael Reel, a brother who she helped take care of until his death Wilbert W. "Wortie" Kittle, many aunts, and uncles.
Ellen attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School. She attended Belington Church of Christ. She worked for K Mart for many years until she started working at the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center as a CNA. Ellen took care of her mother until her death which was December 12, 2012. She made sure that everyone in her life was taking care of, and she had a bigger heart than life. Ellen was a lady of many talents, she enjoyed taking pictures, loved to bake cakes for birthdays, loved to can vegetables from the garden, she enjoyed farming and mowing grass. Ellen loved to play Bingo with her mother, companion, and brothers. Ellen enjoyed talking to her cousin Betty Jo Weese on the phone throughout the week. The family would like to thank David and Vickie Kittle for their help, love, support, and welcoming Ellen into their home when she became ill. Ellen Grace was a special lady to so many and she will remain in their hearts forever.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM., at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi WV., for a celebration of Ellen's life. The family has asked if you're attending the celebration of life, please bring a covered dish for dinner.
