Christine Marie Hatfield Obituary

Christine Marie Hatfield, age 50, a resident of Philippi, WV, passed from this life on Saturday November 12, 2022, with her children by her side in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh PA. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on November 18, 1971, in Canton, OH, a daughter to Linda Adams of Canton OH., and the late Charles Croston.

She is survived by her best friend, and father to her four children, Ronald Johnson Jr; three sons; R.J. Johnson and wife Brittini Johnson, Dylan Johnson and fiancé Dakota Robinson, and Cody Johnson and companion Faith Gordon; one daughter; Angel Johnson; grandchildren; Quinn Johnson, Creed Johnson, Waylon Johnson, Scarlet Johnson, Maddix Dodd, Madelyn Johnson, Brayden Johnson, and Elijah Johnson; siblings; Chucky Hatfield, Mary Hatfield, Debbie Spaulding, Pam Croston, Sherry Croston; her dog, Harley; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding her death are sisters, Charlene Hatfield, and Charlotte Croston.

Christine loved her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. She loved to raise gardens, flowers, fishing, and kayaking. Before she became disabled, she worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken in Philippi. Christine never met a stranger and would talk to everyone she encountered. She would help anyone in need and would give the shirt off her back to them. Christine was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 3 pm until 8:00 pm., and again on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 8 am., until 1 pm. A funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the Croston and Johnson Cemetery on Hanging Rock Road, near Philippi. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Collins Family with the arrangements.
