Cecil Lawrence Mayle Obituary
Cecil Lawrence Mayle, age 66, a resident of Philippi, WV, passed away from this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Mansfield Place, he had been in declining health, however, is death was unexpected. He was born into this life on December 29, 1955, in Philippi, WV, a son to the late Issiac Mayle and Lummie Virginia Mayle. Cecil is survived by two brothers, Terry Mayle and wife, Cora, and Mickey Mayle, and wife, Janet Mayle, one sister, Alma Kennedy, several nephews, including his special nephew, Matthew Mayle, and several nieces, including his special nieces, Connie Mayle, and Samantha Hollen, and her husband, Josh Hollen.
Several friends, including Jerry Strahin who was always looking after Cecil. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Issiac Mayle Jr., Alston Mayle, Harwood Mayle, and Edmond Mayle, two sisters, Leanna Mayle and, Commetta Croston. Mr. Mayle attended the schools of Barbour County.
He was a Methodist by faith. Cecil worked odd jobs and loved farming. He had a passion for dancing and loved to tell jokes.
Also, he loved to hunt and walk. Cecil is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 6 pm until 9 pm, and again on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 8 am until 11:30 am when funeral services will be conducted with Speaker William "Bill" Berdine officiating and interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery near Philippi.
