He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Burton and Maggie Winans (Mitchell); and his siblings, Charles, Coleman, Delbert, Clinton, Homer, Virgil, Georgia Smith and Goldie Richards.
He is survived by: his children, Carolyn Shell (Jim) of Ellicott City, MD, Ann Marie Baldwin (Edward) of Carrolton Community and Gary Lynn Winans (Debbie) of Belington, WV. He is also survived by four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (220 N Walnut St, Philippi, WV 26416). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
