He was predeceased by: his parents, Bracket O. Porterfield and Annie Main Porterfield; his wife Sandra Lee Carson Porterfield; his brother Oliver Porterfield; and his siblings-in-law, Marian Carson, Mary Ann Sarrels and Ty Carson Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Malvin Conner (Vicki), Tom Conner and Melissa Merrix (Scott); and his brothers, John and Lee Porterfield. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
