We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2020, at the age of 73, Wilbert Russell Newsome Jr. (Peterstown, West Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Virginia Newsome and Janet Jackson; and his nephews, Steven Craig Dunlap, William Christopher Dunlap and John Hutto IV (Huttie).
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Lee Williams (LaTonya), Linzie Eubanks and Angie "Mecca" Garcia; his grandchildren, Cameron Williams, Kennedy Williams, Relesha Franklin Gabay, Phylicia Minor and Marquice Eubanks; his siblings, Joan K. Hutto of Columbia, SC, Justine Nall of Union, WV, Shirley Hobson (Floyd) of Roanoke, VA and Phillip Wayne Newsome; his nephew Gerald "Mimms" Robertson; his sisters, Charlotte Gordon and Julia Newsome; his friend Robert Gooch; his close friends, Andrew Hobson and Raymond Graham; and also Denise Casto. He is also survived by nieces and nephews whom he treated as his own children; cousin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Elmwood Cemetery (PO Box 57, Union, WV 24983).
