It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Shelton (Peterstown, West Virginia), born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on July 13, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Pearl Dockery Pentecost; her husband Fletcher Hall Shelton; and her siblings, David, Paul Pentecost, Dorthy Delane and Belva Green.
She is survived by: her sons, Elton F. Shelton (Ruth) of Pulaski, VA and Sanford Shelton (Rhonda) of Ballard, WV; her siblings, James Pentecost of Montvale, VA, Charles Pentecost of Mishawaka, IN, Ambrose Jessup, Affie Stump (Everett) of Salem, VA, Anna Keith of Fort Wayne, IN and Iris "Penny" Craig of Noblesville, IN; her brother-in-law Edwin Pownall of Grabill, VA; her grandson Robert Shelton (Sonya); her great grandchild Katie of Pulaski, VA; and her granddaughter Terri Clark (Paul) of Chattanooga, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
