He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dean and Florence Oretha Rose Long; and his siblings, Annie Waldron, Pauline Austin, Rosie Brookman, Teenie Wright, Ruth Long and David Long.
He is survived by: his close friend Darcas Elaine Martin; his sons, Marvin Eugene Crutchfield (Missy) of Narrows, VA and Jamie Wimmer; his stepchildren, Chris Rice of Peterstown, WV, Mandy Rice of Peterstown, WV and Douglas Martin of Florida; his sister Cindy Snyder of Belspring, VA; and his niece Cathy "Sissy" Bennett of Belspring, VA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home (111 Market St, Peterstown, WV 24963). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
