It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Schlager (Peterstown, West Virginia), born in Glen Rogers, West Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" Hughes and Pauline Acord Hughes Kessler; her husband Fred S. Schlager, Jr.; her son Frederick D. "Freddie" Schlager; and her brother Sammy Hughes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Lafferty (Delmar) of Beckley, WV, Pamela Shrewsbury (Phillip "Phil") of Peterstown, WV, Shirley Milam (James "Jim") of Bluefield, WV and Lisa Brown (Jerry) of Cashmere, WV; and her siblings, Gerald "Jerry" Hughes (Sharon) of Laurel, DE, Kenny Hughes (Henrietta "Chuckie") of Daytona Beach, FL and Margaret Rabinowitz of Ocean City, MD. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
