He was predeceased by: his parent James Earl; his children, Richardeen Joan Cody and Severt Cody; his granddaughter Stephanie Cody; and his brother Donald Cody of Marie, WV.
He is survived by: his parent Georgia Janie Bishop Cody; his wife Rose Turner Cody; his children, Richard Cody (Janie), Brenda Knapp (Basil) of Pilot Mt, Teresa Cody of Pilot Mt and Kathy Dunn of Alderson, WV; and his stepchildren, Richie Turner of Beckley, WV and Nicole Presgraves. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
