He was predeceased by: his parents, C. C. "Kit" Ballengee and Neva Lowe Ballengee; and his sister Ellen Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Ballengee; his sons, David Ballengee (Patty) of Peterstown, WV and Steve Ballengee (Theresa) of Peterstown, WV; his grandchildren, Matthew Ballengee (Kelly), John Ballengee (Lily), Sarah Ballard (Brian), Cortney Menchini (Chris) and Lara Thompson (Braxton); and his friend Mack Barber.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Sports of Monroe Foundation at 280 Walnut Ridge Road, Peterstown, WV 24963.
